Last Thursday I challenged myself to visit 7 churches for Holy Thursday. I wasn’t unaware of this custom till last year. A lot of people were visiting different churches till about midnight. Some came on busses others on their own. All ages were active. I would definitely do this next year.

No Facilities is the home of all the links to this week’s doors.
Thank you for the great doors and information. I was not aware of the tradition of visiting seven churches on Holy Thursday. Fabulous share. Thanks again.
I just learned about this tradition last year. Apparently, it dates back to the middle ages.
Excellent. Thank you!
As I said I recently learned of it. It started in Rome.
It seems to me I’ve been in St. Michael’s in Old Town. Long, long ago. Chicago has a wealth of old churches. Holy Thursday or not, those old churches have doors and stories aplenty. A great idea for Thursday Doors.
I’d love to do more research on the churches. I’m sure there’s numerous stories.
