To honor 800 weeks of nostalgic photos, Sepia Saturday is challenging bloggers to share inspired by the collage above. I’ve looked through my archives and shared some of my favorite Sepia finds.
I would never have known that there were White House sheep, fairly recently perhaps. I searched for “man in front of house” and this popped up.

So my Library of Congress search took me all the way to Siberia. Go figure. I’m not sure what Yemschik means. It could be a name. I tried looking that up but got no results. How often does that name. No results. Hmm.
Sepia Saturday is beginning 2025 with the theme of couple’s portraits. They must be over 100 years old.

Alas, Chicago’s Uptown Art Walk has gone from nine days two years ago to a weekend last year and this year it was one day. Luckily I was free and could go.
The artist all did murals along Wilson Avenue. These murals will be placed on the walls surrounding Graceland Cemetery.
